This full-text report provides the annual balance sheet and income estimates for cattle and hogs. Releases prior to 2012 also include estimates for sheep. Statistics included are estimates of beginning and ending inventories, births, deaths, inshipments, marketings, and ending inventories; also total production and marketings in pounds, average prices, value of production, cash receipts, home consumption, and gross marketings by state and U.S., for previous years.
This bulletin presents final estimates, including revisions made by the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), for the production years 1945 to 2012. These publications report production, gross income, inventory, supply, disposition, value per head, and total value for cattle, calves, hogs and pigs. Data included in this publication provide a historic record and a benchmark for current estimates.
